‘Chicken 65’ is trending with Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) in India, Here’s why?

Today, a new ‘Chicken 65‘ trend is made its way in the microblogging website Twitter with Bharat Petroleum (BPCL) in India. Few People get shocked as they see a recipe name is trending with an Indian public sector oil and gas company. But the truth is BPCL announces a contest called #BharatPetroleum in collaboration with Chef Ajay Chopra. Through this contest, the petroleum giant wants to promote its YouTube channel.

Under this contest, the Mumbai headquartered company postest an image with some random alphabet, like ‘KNICCHE56’. The participants will have to guess the right word by arranging this alphabet in the correct manner. Yes, that is ‘CHICKEN 65’.

Meanwhile, BPCL will choose one right answer. So, the winner will win a gift voucher of ₹1,000.  The result will be announced tomorrow, 13th September at 8 A.M.

Earlier this, a piece of news comes out with a Mint‘s report which quotes the regulatory filing, the Indian government is selling all of its 52.98% stake in BPCL to a strategic investor. This Expression of Interest (EoI) for the privatisation plan is due on 30th September 2020.

Notably, BPCL is one of the key entities in the government’s privatisation plan. As the Indian govt. plans Rs 2.1 lakh crore divestment for the current fiscal.
