Shivraj Singh Chouhan led Madhya Pradesh government has decided to form a ‘Gau Cabinet’ (Cow Cabinet) for the protection of cows in the state.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh announced that the government had decided to set up a ‘Gau Cabinet’ for the protection and promotion of cattle.
“It has been decided to set up a “Cow Cabinet” for the protection and promotion of cows in the state. Animal Husbandry, Forest, Panchayat and Rural Development, Revenue, Home and Farmers Welfare Department will be a part of the “Cow Cabinet”. The first meeting will be held on November 22 at 12 noon on Gopashtami at Gau Sanctuary, Agar Malwa,” the Chief Minister said in a tweet.
Meanwhile, as per the CM office’s statement, the Animal Husbandry, Forest, Panchayat and Rural Development, Revenue, Home and Farmers’ Welfare Departments would be part of the Cow Cabinet.
However, the first meeting would be held on November 22 in the Agar Malwa district. Additionally, the Agriculture Minister of MP, Kamal Patel said,
“The Cabinet would ensure the protection of Gau Mata. The Chief Minister has prioritised their protection. So 4,000 cow shelters will be set up this year.”
