A few months back, a Surat-based textile company Golden Falcon India Pvt. Ltd. launched India’s first 8-layer mask. This Falcon Mask claims to have 99.60 percent BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency). These Falcon Masks do have an outer layer of knitted fabric. In addition to this, 5-layer SSMMS are there with another Meltblown layer for added filtration.

In case you don’t know, SSMMS stands for Spunbond-Spunbond-Meltblown-Meltblown-Spunbond. Additionally, the inner layer of these masks is made of cotton fabric. Interestingly, these are also said to have an anti-microbial finish property. Meanwhile, the company is producing around 5,000+ falcon masks on a daily basis reportedly.
