Huawei Technologies Co, a Chinese telecom company has decided to trim its revenue focus in India for the year 2020 and is sacking more than half of its employees. This all is happening at a time when the voices to ban Chinese products is growing stronger day by day in India.

Economic Times has reported that the company is aiming for a revenue of $350-$500 million compared to $700-800 million which it was hoping earlier.

More than 60-70% of Huawei employees are being sacked. Remaining employees who will be able to save their jobs will be from the research and development and the global service center said the paper.

The reason behind this is the strong anti-China feeling among Indian citizens because of the massacre of 20 Indian soldiers by Chinese troops in a clash.
