Recently IIT Bombay has launched a Self Help website ‘BANDHU‘ which aims to help students in coping with Stress and their emotional well-being.
Minister of State for Education Shri. Sanjay Dhotre who was the Chief Guest for the event launched BANDHU. Another important person who has attracted the interest of viewers was Mr. Nitesh Tiwari, who was an Alumni of IIT Bombay from the year 1996. But at the same time, he is also a well-known Director and Writer.
During the launch, the Minister of State for Education Shri. Sanjay Dhotre said, “A good educational institution is one in which every student feels welcomed and cared for, where a safe and stimulating learning environment exists.”
The Project has been the outcome of the hard work and efforts by IIT Bombay counselors and support from Prof. T. Kundu, Dean (Student Affairs), and Prof. Suhas Joshi, Dean (Alumni and Corporate Relations).
The website Addresses challenges ranging from Adjustment to college life, Academic stress, Mental health especially during Covid times, it will be of great help to students. To solve these Problems BANDHU has a different Way of Solutions.
BANDHU provides curated reads, Motivational alumni journeys and expert podcasts, and tools for self-exploration for its readers. Rekha Koita, alumni of IIT Bombay from the Class of 1992 said “BANDHU will also help in pointing out when it could be time to seek help from the support structure available at IIT Bombay”.
The website will automatically judge, and inform the user when it is time to take some Professionals help.
