PUBG may come back to India soon, Korean company takes over India franchisee from Tencent

As PUBG Mobile was banned in India, the South Korean company, PUBG Corporation has decided to take over PUBG mobile franchise from Tencent Games in India. Before this, the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile and 117 other Chinese apps including AppLock, WeChat Work, Baidu, and others. But this development gives hops on PUBG Mobile come back in India.

But now with this move, PUBG Mobile will no longer be controlled by Tencent Games in India. So the South Korean company itself takes the full charge of all the subsidiaries. Actually, the Chinese company Tencent Games bought a 1.5% stake in Bluehole Studio. This is the Indian version includes by the government.

PUBG Corporation is the real owner of PUBG MOBILE GAME

PUBG MOBILE is the mobile version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). This intellectual property is under the rights of PUBG Corporation, a South Korean gaming company.

Meanwhile, in the statement issued by PUBG, the company said;

“PUBG Corporation fully understands and respects the measures taken by the government. The privacy and security of player data is a top priority for the company. It hopes to work hand-in-hand with the Indian government to find a solution. The solution which will allow gamers to once again drop into the battlegrounds. But the game will be fully compliant with Indian laws and regulations. PUBG Corporation has made the decision to no longer authorize the PUBG MOBILE franchise to Tencent Games in India. PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country. The company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future. That is committed to doing so by sustaining a localized and healthy gameplay environment for its fans”.

Owner of PUBG is a South Korean company. Tencent a chinese company has a 1.5% stake in it.
