There’s no doubt that the COVID outbreak impacted the blue-collar sector more than any other in India. According to several reports, lakhs of migrants went back to their villages. After which the urban industry realised how urban India is dependent on this workforce.

But as the Unlock phases are initiated, the migrant workforce is expected to return in search of jobs. Additionally, as the pandemic pushes the needle towards digital (mainly e-commerce related segment), online festival sales are expected to touch $7 billion in gross merchandise value (GMV), leading to the creation of 3 lakh jobs, according to consulting firm Redseer.

And when anyone talks about the e-commerce sector, the delivery partners always play a key role in this segment. Therefore, e-tailers are stepping up hiring, particularly across the supply chain and logistics functions. But is there any bridge to connect these blue-collar job seekers with the right set of firms?

Actually, for business owners, there is no such dedicated platform for skilled, qualified, reliable, and disciplined blue-collar providing service. There’s no as such a dedicated organization or medium that can hire blue-collar people from anywhere they wish.

In most prominent companies, the ratio between the lower position and top position is about 60:40. Such as Security Guard, Drivers, Bikers. Companies don’t have a one-stop solution to get blue-collar people in 3 minutes. Business owners are using multiple ways like having discussions with 100’s of hiring consultancy, hundreds of in-house sourcing executives to get blue-collar peoples which is useless for time and money both.

SIGNO comes up with an AI-based solution
